Departments
ATTENTION: Thank you for your interest in TechSmith products at the MSU Tech Store. TechSmith is currently offering free Camtasia and SnagIt Licensing through https://msu.onthehub.com to all faculty and staff through June 30th, 2020. When this free licensing period expires, end users will have to visit https://techstore.msu.edu to purchase a full license going forward. Please call the MSU Tech Store at 517-432-0700 with any questions or concerns.
Departmental Use
TechSmith licenses and media are available at the MSU Tech Store at a substantial discount. These licenses are for departments only and are not returnable. All licenses are perpetual and will not expire.
Installation Information
TechSmith Software-Departmental Use
- Purchase a license for TechSmith. Your receipt is your proof of license.
- Activation Code-The serial number will be supplied to you via email after your purchase.
- Media will be provided via the code sent from the Douglas Stewart, our software vendor for TechSmith products.
Maintenance
Box Copy Software-Departmental/Student/Personal Use
Maintenance is available for separate purchase along with your licenses. It will provide free software upgrades of both major and minor releases for one year, priority technical support, usually the same day, and increased discounts as you purchase licenses under a single maintenance agreement.

Home Use Provision
Box Copy Software-Departmental/Student/Personal Use
Users are allowed to install TechSmith box products on a secondary machine (laptop or home computer) as long as it is not being used at the same time as the primary license.
Departmental Use
A home use provision is available. Both installations must be for the same user and cannot be used at the same time.
Media
Box Copy Software-Departmental/Student/Personal Use
Media is provided with the license.
Departmental Use
Media is either purchased separately or downloaded.
